Sir, – Reading the article “‘We had 40 flyovers before 2pm’: West Dublin couple annoyed by delivery drones over their home”, News, November 5th), I am not surprised that this issue is coming up during canvassing for the coming election. Consider what such a drone delivery service means. Drones flying over houses, front and back gardens where you thought you had privacy. Skies which were previously relatively silent now noisy with these machines flying overhead. How many more delivery services are going to be licensed to use drones? Living in Dublin 15, I can say that drone delivery services are noisy, an invasion of privacy, and when the skies are full of these delivery drones, we will wonder what happened to our previous privacy, peace and quiet. – Yours, etc,
MICHAEL DOOLEY,
Dublin 15.
