Madam, - I note with interest the recent news that Ógra Fianna Fáil recruitment at Freshers' week in Queens and the University of Ulster far exceeded that of Sinn Féin ("FF outstrip Shinners in recruiting on NI campus", September 30th).
Any efforts to enhance all-island politics are to be welcomed as a means of addressing common areas of concern under the Good Friday Agreement. As such, it is important to make known the success of another all-island party - the Young Greens - at Freshers' week.
Although the Young Greens recruited only at Queens this year, they recruited 134 new members, which is four more than Ógra FF gained in both universities in the North.
The difference between the two coalition partners is, that while Fianna Fáil is only pretending to organise in the North, the Greens are already doing very well at it. - Yours, etc,
JOHN HARDY, (Green Party, South Down), Newcastle, Co Down.
