Madam, – After watching Mickey Mouse, Oso and Handy Manny with my youngest grandchild on Wednesday, at round 5.50pm I switched to Sky News and watched David Cameron debating cuts with the opposition. It was a very lively, intelligent debate and Westminster was full to capacity.
After switching to RTÉ at 6pm I couldn’t believe what I was seeing – or should I say not seeing, it was a “ghost parliament” – empty.
We are in the middle of the worst crisis that Ireland has had financially. It is an absolute disgrace. The Irish people deserve better, after all we are paying their wages and paying off the debts brought about by their incompetence. It is just more proof that they don’t care.
Perhaps Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse could do a better job. – Yours, etc,
