Madam, - Congratulations to the Literary Editor for the restoration of the Saturday poem. For many weeks The Irish Times has been a poetry-free zone but the poem of March 1st was well worth waiting for.
A series of refreshing foreign-language poems would be very welcome and would establish a closer cultural bonding with Europe and beyond, not to mention the example it would give those learning to write.
