The climate is such that trees grow quickly and need to be cut back regularly to ensure visibility to fast-moving drivers.
The National Roads Authority tells me it erects the signs on the motorways, but each local authority has the duty to maintain them. Having travelled extensively around the country this summer, it is obvious that they are failing to ensure that road signs are checked regularly for visibility.
