Madam, - I note that Roy Sherlock (July 25th), among other "right-to-roamers", seems to feel that because farmers receive subsidies they must therefore surrender both their property and privacy rights. If he is right, then the whole of the Republic is an "open house" in light of the enormous amounts of EU money poured in over these past decades.
Shall I drop in on him on my next visit to Blessington? Will I be welcome? I own no land myself; but if I did, I would not want Mr Sherlock and his friends walking over it as of right. - Yours, etc,
