Sir, - We've been hearing a lot about Aer Lingus's financial woes lately and no one seems to have an answer. Can it be the slowdown in the US? People not travelling as much? All anyone seems to know is that it is not Aer Lingus's fault.
Wrong! I rang my travel agent yesterday looking for a one-way ticket to Boston at the end of September and was quoted £520 direct; but if I flew Aer Lingus to London and British Airways to Boston it would only be £217.
