Madam, - In response to Matthew Harley's letter of March 17th, it is important to point out that the proposed new runway, Runway 10L/28R, has been in what is now known as the Fingal County Development Plan since 1972.
Indeed, much praise is due to the foresight and vision of planners who, back in the 1960s, could see the potential for huge growth in air traffic at Dublin Airport by safeguarding land for a second runway. - Yours, etc,
