Madam, – Your TV critic Declan Burke ( Weekend Review, July 24) discussing the documentary Apparitions makes the following assertion: “Even Jesus, after His resurrection, had the good grace to return as a spirit rather than a flesh and blood entity.”
I realise it’s a long time since Ireland rejoiced in the description “land of saints and scholars”. But surely her cultural guides should realise that the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central tenet of Christianity, a creed which still has adherents, not only in Ireland, but in lands beyond her seas? – Yours, etc,
