Army Claims

Sir, - It is about time the Government dusted off the Price Waterhouse Report on the Army which was presented a few years ago.

Surely, more than ever, we need to follow some of the report's recommendations of a smaller, fitter Army, as well as selling off some of the surplus Army lands (particularly firing ranges).

A few pounds raised by the sale of assets and by reducing army numbers might help offset many deafness claims - and be politically popular. - Yours, etc.,
