Sir, - The Arts Council is holding forums to consult with artists and the public in making an arts plan (The Irish Times, May 3rd). This seems wise and sensible.
It seems strange, however, for the council to ask members of the public for an admission fee of £25 in order to be consulted. "Unwaged arts practitioners" do not have to pay. Fair enough; but why must waged anybodies, whose taxes enable the Arts Council to exist, doubly underwrite such corporate codology?
