Sir, - On the evening of Wednesday, July 26th I saw two 46A buses travelling in tandem along the Stillorgan dual carriageway. In itself there was nothing unusual about this as 46As frequently travel in pairs and sometimes three or even more can be seen together. What distinguished this sighting was the fact that both buses were travelling towards Dublin while the destination panels proclaimed that they were going in the opposite direction, towards Dun Laoghaire.
How visitors to our fair city cope with this kind of thing is beyond me. Does anyone care? I doubt it. - Yours, etc.,
M.D. Kennedy, Silchester Park, Glenageary, Co Dublin.
