Banking on Temple Bar

Madam, - People in Dublin often refer to Temple Bar as the "Left Bank" area

Madam, - People in Dublin often refer to Temple Bar as the "Left Bank" area. I think they have forgotten that, unlike Paris's "Left Bank", Temple Bar is on the right of the river as it flows towards the sea. This causes confusion, especially for tourists, so the term should be dropped.

I think the terms north and south bank should be used for locations along the Liffey such as the Financial Services Centre on the "North Bank" and Temple Bar on the "South Bank". Easier for visiting businessmen and tourists alike. - Yours, etc,
