Sir, – In the midst of the Belfast Agreement discussion, has anyone noticed something of a lack of connection in the South?
Claire Aiken told us that the North is a changed place for children (Home News, April 10th), but the same is true here; our children and young people have grown up knowing little or nothing about the modern Northern Ireland. Yet the Troubles happened within their lifetime, right on their doorstep.
Has the Republic simply forgotten about the North since all the “excitement” died down? – Yours, etc,
