Madam, – In Marese McDonagh’s damning account (“Beyond caring”, HEALTHplus, July 6th) she quotes from a conversation with Sinéad Moran of the Jack and Jill Foundation: “These children need special equipment . . . which allows them to stand for maybe 20 minutes a day. They now have to wait months for these things and it is putting a lot of strain on families.”
Meanwhile, at the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary meeting Micheal Kitt is quoted as saying, “We are not convincing people out there about our success with big issues” (Home News, July 6th). This is a party living in denial and acting accordingly! – Yours, etc,
