Sir, - Kevin Myers, in a recent article, questioned the wisdom of charging Fr Brendan Smyth in the Republic. Was he not an old man who had already served his sentence?
Coupled with his distorted article pleading for the release of a former Garda convicted of sexual assault on two women who were terrorised by him, is Mr Myers not guilty of grave denial in relation to sexual deviance?
In the light of last week's carefully worded and excellent judgement, where stands Mr Myers now?- Yours, etc., Lucy Keaveney, Fairyhouse, Ratoath, Co Meath.
