Sir, - I must compliment Kevin Myers on his Irishman's Diary of July 26th on the State incentives to convert 4x4 vehicles into vans. It is one of the best articles I have read for a long time.
I wonder would Mr Myers also highlight the ridiculous scrapping of old vehicles, the cost of this, and how we are faced with an increasing number of abandoned cars all over our countryside. Where is the Green Party? - Yours, etc.,
