Cheer quietly at Croker, please

Madam, - As an expatriate, I find the that internet access to the Irish media, including your premium web edition, a great boon.

I am looking forward to listening to the GAA games over this weekend. Unfortunately, not every place in the world has broadband. Here in West Africa I depend on a telephone link. One problem with this is that large volumes of information coming down the line - music, for example, will break the connection.

Another cause of line-breaks is loud cheering and applauding during Gaelic games. Might I, through your good offices, request readers who attend Croke Park over the weekend to keep the noise to a minimum and give the diaspora a chance to enjoy the games? - Yours, etc,
