Christ Church Cathedral

I would like to remind Ms Shortall that Christ Church Cathedral as it stands is a living, working building, and although the current structure - which was completed in 1872 - may not hold any significance for her, it does for the Anglican community of the dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough.

It must also be noted that parts of the cathedral, notably the south transept, date back to Strongbow in 1169. These are archaeological remains also, but the difference here is that they definitely exist - and we have yet to discover what, if any items of interest are unearthed in the path of the M3 motorway. - Yours, etc,
