Paul Griffin (December 5th) should reconsider his "constant vigilance" against the use of the "happy holidays" greeting at Christmas time. Americans use this greeting in order not to offend the many diverse groups of people in the US who do not celebrate Christmas, the Jewish community for example. I think it would be a good thing if this American idea found its way over here to remind Irish people that not everyone worships the Christ in Christmas. - Yours, etc.,
