Clamping in hospital grounds

Madam, – A friend of mine brought her very ill husband to the accident emergency section of St Vincent’s Hospital

Madam, – A friend of mine brought her very ill husband to the accident emergency section of St Vincent’s Hospital. He was in great pain. He is awaiting a liver transplant. When she came out of the hospital, she discovered that her car was clamped.

How can this happen in a “caring” institution in a civilised society to a very vulnerable person? There should be no clamping in hospital grounds. I would understand a fine, but this was so cruel. – Yours, etc,
