Sir, - On Sunday last, I went to the grave of the parents and sisters of Michael Collins. It is in the village of Rosscarbery in the old Abbey Cemetery, which is now officially closed and officially neglected.
Under the inscription asking for prayers for his mother and father, is the exemplary, modest one: "And (pray) for their youngest son Michael who is buried in Glasnevin." On this coming Sunday, Michael will be commemorated at Beal na mBlath. I do feel that some flowers from the wreaths laid there should be spared for the green grave in Rosscarbery. - Yours, etc.,
Jean Healy,
Model Farm Road, Cork.
