Madam, - A front-page report in last Friday's Business This Week supplement refers to a meeting between the IAIM and a director of DCC, presumably to explain to the IAIM why it is appropriate that Mr Jim Flavin should continue as executive chairman of DCC despite the recent Supreme Court ruling in the Fyffes case.
I notice that the back page of the same edition features an advertisement from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School inviting applications for a Diploma in Corporate Governance. Might I suggest that the DCC exposition to the IAIM be included in the course material as, judging by recent press coverage and letters to the editor, many of us do not have a proper understanding of the case. - Yours, etc,
BERNARD McFADDEN, Bellevue Park, Greystones, Co Wicklow.
