Sir, - Plans by Kildare County Council and the National Roads Authority to cut into the Curragh Aquifer appear to defy all logical explanations.
Could there by any truth behind the popular rumour that this extraordinary decision is, in fact, a Trojan horse - the real prize being a new water supply for Dublin, which will be taken from the Curragh Aquifer after its integrity has been damaged by the road-building?
What is really going on behind close county council doors? - Yours, etc.,
Gay Brabazon, The Curragh, Co. Kildare.
