Sir, - The new "enterprise" service from Dublin to Belfast could have serious implications for the peace process. Between each carriage an electronic display shows how far the train has travelled. The route is shown in red and as the train progresses it turns to green until the green line has totally engulfed the red one and the train has arrived in the heart of Belfast. As the traditional colour of the British empire is red, it is a great surprise that the symbolic importance of this has not been picked up on. At least Messrs Paisley and McCartney can take heart from the fact that the stations along the route are lit up in orange. - Yours, etc.,
