Madam, – When this State was under threat from subversive forces our politicians were not found wanting in introducing internment without trial and special courts to deal with this, on both sides of the Border.
While history has yet to judge, it would appear no greater act of treason against this country has been committed than the reckless and selfish behaviour of our bankers and developers, even the actions of the British aristocracy may yet pale in comparison.
The continued and obvious flaunting of wealth dubiously gained, while ordinary borrowers are suffering to attempt to repay loans and mortgages, constitutes a serious threat to this State and is sufficient grounds for the introduction of internment without trial. – Yours, etc,
