Sir, - I refer to recent correspondence (August 2nd, 7th) that seemed to suggest that men, because of their gender, should not express opinions critical of abortion.
Given that many of the aborted babies are male, I would have thought that, even on the narrow ground of gender, men would be entitled to speak out.
On the same narrow ground of gender, I have always found it difficult to reconcile the feminist principles of justice and respect for all women with the pro-choice denial of the basic right to life of aborted female babies. - Yours, etc.,
