Madam, - I cannot be alone in feeling angry and frustrated at the unacceptable daily delays on the West Link toll bridge whichmotorists have endured for a very long time now. Isn't it time someone did something about it?
Does anyone care? Our Minister for Transport does not appear to. Operating companies such as National Toll Roads must be obliged to manage the traffic flows efficiently and if tailbacks stretch beyond a pre-determined distance from the toll booths they must be compelled to raise the barriers and allow the traffic to flow free of charge until they have managed to get the queue back under control.
Surely a ministerial order is all that is needed to bring such a measure into being. - Yours, etc.,
