Sir, – Johnny Ronan’s decision to insist on a female figure for the Treasury Holdings building sculpture (Front page, November 27th) is a thundering disgrace.
Surely, on a building housing developers, Fianna Fáil, and Nama, a figure representative of all of the plain people of Ireland being driven up the walls would better capture the results of the “struggle for freedom” and stand as “a metaphor for Ireland”. – Yours, etc,
