Sir, - Having just read Gary Clarke's letter of August 7th on the new Aviation Bill, I felt I just had to put pen to paper in agreement.
My 11-year-old daughter and I had the misfortune to land at Dublin Airport last Friday at 12.30. The chaos was unbelievable. There was a 15-minute wait before the plane could be accommodated at a bay. When we eventually disembarked, traversing a very awkward route to collect our luggage, what a sight to behold. There wasn't room to move. There were four flights of luggage coming in on each conveyor belt. If there had been some cause for panic, I wonder what would have happened. It is quite obvious we need another airport and I, personally, would welcome one on the southside with open arms. Yours, etc.,
Anne Sherry Wellington Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
