Madam, - On May 30th last you published a letter from me criticising the President on her remarks made in Philadelphia that the IRA "should form itself into an old soldiers' club".
I now praise her on the carefully phrased and most appropriate statement she made last Thursday (The Irish Times, July 29th) on the momentous occasion of the IRA ending its "armed campaign". - Yours, etc,
