Madam, - More evidence of the outrageous costs in Ireland compared with other euro-zone countries:
On Saturday morning in Tuscany I purchased six (excellent) cappuccinos, six pastries and an ice cream for just over €10.
On Monday in Castleknock I paid just over €13 for two (lukewarm) cappuccinos, one piece of carrot cake and a small mineral water.
Six cappuccinos and six cakes would have come to more than €50 in this nondescript suburban coffee shop.
