Sir, - It is quite evident from watching events in France during the last few weeks that the English have gone headlong for the flag of St George as their emblem, and likewise the Scots with the flag of St Andrew.
Do you not think it is time for us Irish to abandon the tricolour which is offensive to some, and go for the flag of St Patrick, with perhaps a change of colour from red to green? The emblem of each Province might also be included. - Yours, etc., P. Laurence Reilly,
