Sir, – No doubt the nation is grateful to Pamela Duncan for revealing the fact that the taxpayer forked out €500 on British flags to welcome Queen Elizabeth (Front Page, December 24th). Why, that’s the same cost of 250 copies of The Irish Times! Embassies, beware! – Yours, etc,
