Sir, - I find it very annoying to hear the whingeing from politicians that the print media are in some way responsible for candidates not performing well in the general election. Do they think voters are so naive that, after having read the various editorial comments, they are incapable of making up their own minds?
The function of politicians is to get elected if they are good enough. The function of newspapers is to inform. Editorial opinion is part of that. It's called freedom of the press. - Yours, etc.,
