Madam, - While on holiday in Liscannor last month, I suffered congestive heart failure. The manager of the Cliffs of Moher Hotel called the ambulance squad. They arrived promptly, gave me oxygen and took me quickly to Midwestern Area Regional Hospital in Ennis. I was diagnosed in A&E, treated immediately and sent to the intensive care unit.
I cannot find words enough to praise the care I received. The hospital staff, and the ICU nurses in particular, were excellent. Not only were they very efficient and compassionate, but their personal attention made my stay there far more pleasant than I could ever have anticipated.
Co Clare is very fortunate to have such a well-staffed hospital. May God bless them all! - Yours, etc,
