Sir, - As a West Wicklow resident, I agree absolutely with Rosita A. Sweetman's remarks about the blanket sitka spruce afforestation of the wild and most beautiful spots. Time was when I would drive my guests the longest way round to Manor Kilbride, to show them, the wonderful scenery.
There is no point now gone are the wonderful, breathtaking views. One travels through spruce green tunnels. - Yours, etc.,
