Madam, – In the spirit of Arthur’s Day, I would like to raise a glass to Guinness/Diageo for its backdoor deal with pubs which involved putting black bags over rival beer taps on Thursday and restricting bottled beer choice to the two American beers Diageo sell. It was a wonderful party so long as you don’t like cider or one of the other major beer brands. I don’t recall seeing a warning about this in its ad campaign over the last month.
