Madam, - Everlasting memories of the Metropole ballroom, cinema and restaurant are imprinted on the hearts of many Dubliners who mourned the passing of this special part of our city. I often wonder just how many romances were forged in that great venue.
This is not an original suggestion but, to preserve memories of Dublin in "the rare oul' times," I urged that the new monument be christened "The Metropole". - Yours, etc.,
