Sir, - Darrell Kavanagh states (August 1st) that to apportion blame for falling tourism revenues to the new Ireland logo is absurd. The corollary of this is that to credit the logo with any future increase in tourism revenue is equally absurd. So, why bother with a logo at all?
My own opinion is that we should have kept the large shamrock and not bothered with an abstract depiction of two drunks scrummaging down for a little one. - Yours, etc.,
