Sir, – I note in the recent article concerning the appointment of Maura Quinn to investigate the botched appointment of Dr Tony Holohan to Trinity College Dublin that the terms of reference include determining "learnings from the process related to the proposed secondment of the chief medical officer and associated research proposal" ("Maura Quinn to carry out external review of abandoned Holohan role", News, April 20th).
There should be a further external review established immediately to determine how the word “learnings” has managed to infiltrate the political sphere and our esteemed Civil Service.
