Madam, – Given the hysterical overreaction to last year’s leaked English exam it would seem that this angst has now become an annual occurrence.
The idea that students are "worryingly obsessed" with an article on the Front page of The Irish Times seems far-fetched if you ask me (Ciaran O'Connor, June 9th).
Having a newspaper censor itself for the sake of shielding tens of thousands of young adults from the news is preposterous.
If you treat them as adults they may surprise you and get on with their lives. Good luck to them all. – Yours, etc,
Madam, – Speaking of keeping the Class of 2010 “calm and focused” in the run-up to exams; I was in the Class of 2002 and we had our own distractions as we sat down to our English Paper on the first day – Ireland versus Germany in the World Cup – but we never got to see Robbie Keane score on 92 minutes! – Yours, etc,
