Madam, - We welcome the passing of the gay marriage bill in the Spanish parliament. The Spanish Socialist Party is to be congratulated for following the lead of the Netherlands and Belgium. The vote in the Spanish senate is a formality.
We wonder how long we must wait for the Irish Government to accept Senator David Norris's Domestic Partnership Bill? We are appalled at the behaviour of Michael McDowell TD, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform with regard to this matter.
