Limits of a 'makeover'

Madam, - There are people out there who choose to get "experts" in to give their home a "make-over" with a view to a successful sale.

So be it, I thought, until one such expert advised my friends: "Get rid of all religious pictures and symbols before you put your home on the market."

I would accept being advised about colour schemes, de-cluttering, etc. But if selling my house intruded on my fundamental loves, I would reject and eject the "expert".

We have a fundamental right to hold on to those material and ethical things that are dear to us. - Yours, etc,
