Sir, - We are surprised by the commentary of your correspondent at the Lindsay Tribunal. In his "analysis" of March 1st we are told: "Already holes are beginning to appear in his defence of his actions." If this were a court report, such a comment would be regarded as contempt.
It appears to us that Prof Temperley is being treated in The Irish Times with less care than, for example, current or retired politicians giving evidence at other venues. - Yours, etc.,
