TOM COOPER,
Madam, - If a group of republican paramilitaries boarded a boat to Britain following an internecine feud with other republican paramilitaries, they would have been arrested and remanded in custody under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. Why then, can a group of odious creatures loyal to Johnny Adair and his equally odious organisation, "C" company UDA, travel to Scotland with impunity following a bitter drugs and racketeering war in which many people died.
It is quite clear that loyalist violence and criminality somehow has a higher tolerance level among the UK authorities than that afforded to republicans. - Yours, etc.,
TOM COOPER, Delaford Lawn, Dublin 16.
