Sir, - In his objection to O'Connell Street being described as "The Champs Elysees of Dublin", John Quinn (November 1st) has unwittingly pointed out all the principal charms of Paris's own "street where no-one lives". The neon, the druggies, the burger joints, all are familiar sights to anyone who knows the once stylish avenue. Further examples of French chic could include the multiplexes, amusement arcades, beggars and pickpockets which also line the O'Connell Street of Paris. The cyclists should feel very much at home in ours. - Yours, etc.,
Wicklow Court, Dublin 2.
