Sir, - My name is Patrick Joseph Gormley. In the late 1920s I spent five years at St Teresa's Boys' Home at Blackrock, Dublin, then three years at St Pat's Boys' Home in Kilkenny, then six years at Artane School. Despite writing to these schools I have received no reply. They have probably closed down. I left Ireland at the age of 27, joined the RAF and went to Bombay and Hiroshima and then to Australia.
I would dearly love to hear from anyone who was in Artane between 1933 and 1939. I am now 74 years old and would love to hear from anyone who remembers me or those days. - Yours, etc., Patrick Joseph Gormley,
