Madam, - On behalf of the Irish Cycling Campaign, I wrote to Minister of Transport Martin Cullen to seek a meeting between an ICC delegation and himself to discuss transport planning and road safety. Three letters and two months later, I have still not received a reply from the Minister or his officials.
Meanwhile, Fianna Fáil is proposing that business people who can afford the €4,500 entry fee are to be offered access to TDs and Ministers as part of a fundraising scheme before the next election. It appears that only the views of those with fat wallets are important to this Government. - Yours, etc.,
DAVID MAHER, PRO, Irish Cycling Campaign, Millmount Grove, Dublin 14.
