A uasal, - I am preparing a paper into the disbursements of monies collected at church gates etc. Throughout Ireland in 1936 to finance the Irish Brigade under General O'Duffy, fighting for Franco.
The monies were collected "To Defend God in Spain". In one country in the midlands alone, £30,000 was diverted to other purposes. Our recent monetary sagas are nothing new in Ireland.
Information will be treated in confidence. - Yours, etc.,
Mary Baker,
